The percentage of subsidized rentals will be around 35-40%. In addition, there will be two schools as well as sports and youth facilities on an education campus. Six daycare centers will also be offered.
The vision for the Schumacher Quartier is translated into concepts and guidelines for spaces and for development. The “Quartiersbuch Schumacher Quartier” summarizes all the preliminary work, making it a guidebook for the next steps so that the Schumacher Quartier can gradually take form and develop into a livable urban district for Berlin. Each developer is responsible for the exact scheduling of the housing constructed by the municipal property companies. In accordance with the current status of planning, however, we are starting from the assumption that the first renters will be able to move into their new homes in 2027.
